The Gashland Clinic medical offices were established in the early 1950s. Donald Kuenzi, M.D., began practice in October 1954, and was joined in practice by Lawrence Hayes, M.D. in 1958; Jerry Kirkland, M.D. in 1968; David Wilson M.D. in 1975; Martin Kanne, M.D. in 1985; Jeffrey Luerding, M.D. in 1987; Glen R. Kirkpatrick, M.D. in 1993; Thomas L. Wilkins, M.D. in 1997; Michael J. DiBernardo, M.D. in 1998; Todd E. Fox, M.D. in 1998; Berent J. Krumm, M.D. in 2001; David A. McCormick, M.D. in 2001; Alicia A. Albers, M.D. in 2002; Stephanie Haupt, M.D. in 2002. Doctors Kuenzi, Hayes & Kirkland have all retired over the last several years.

The Gashland Clinic has been providing medical care for Northland families for over 50 years. The cornerstone of this practice is family medical care, and this remains our primary goal. We believe that the best medical care for our community occurs when there is a strong relationship between a patient and a family doctor who understands the entire family structure. Taking care of the children, parents, and grandparents as a family unit is one of the most rewarding aspects of medical practice.

We are pledged to provide personalized health care and to help coordinate specialty consultations when needed. We feel that our knowledge of the local medical community enables us to choose the best specialist care available. At the same time, we feel it is important to maintain contact with our patients in order to personalize what sometimes becomes a very complicated and impersonal medical care system.
